We successfully tapped (pardon the pun) into the village water supply the other day. The poly pipe sweeps past the house in a helpful fashion (32 MM) rising up the steep little road onto places north. Operation carried out with military planning and a heavy blanket - there are no isolation valves!.... The only upset was a complete misconception about which way the water was running!.... Uphill with some vigour... Temporary pipe work fitted so we have a standpipe. Later a trench will be cut in the concrete of the road and a galvanised steel pipe cemented in place to act as a passage for the poly pipe (material of choice).
